Emotional Breakdown (Prisoners 2013)

Emotional Breakdown
(personal review of Prisoners (2013) film)

Portrayed in this film are actors with stunning performances, in addition to the great plot of a mystery story

It was supposed to be a happy thanksgiving day for the Dover family (Hugh Jackman, Maria Bello, Dylan Minnette, Erin Gerasimovich). While they visited the Birch family (Terrence Howard, Viola Davis, Zoë Soul, Kyla-Drew) that lives just around the neighborhood, the daughters of both family insisted to go back to the Dover’s house and then mysteriously disappeared, without any tracks left behind.

As Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal) strives to locate the missing two, things start to get out of his hands.

In this film, I personally felt confused at the beginning, not about the plot, but more about how the two kids disappeared. It really made a huge question mark above my head. The actors played their roles marvelously. I could see clearly when the actors/tress were feeling frustrated, stressed, angry, and many more. The plot was mesmerizing and had great suspense.

If you adore mystery movies with drama and crime, then I’d definitely recommend this title. Enjoy!
